Level 1 & 2 Tournaments

These are tournaments for fencers who have competed in minimum 2 Donut tournaments

  • Sept 13-14th, 2025 – Eleanor Harvey Fence-O-Mania

  • Oct 11-12th, 2025 – AB Cup #1 – Epic Fall Classic

  • October 26th – Alberta Winter Games Qualifier Zone 2 & 3

  • February 20-23rd, 2026 – Canada Cup #3 – hosted at 7 Chiefs

  • March 21-22nd, 2026 – AB Cup #3 – Leslie Palmai Memorial Tournament

  • June 6-7, 2026 – Gladiator Cup

Donut Tournaments (In-house, Level 0)

These are tournaments for all level of Epic fencer. Our beginners will be placed in the appropriate level for them. Our more experienced fencers get a chance to practice competing AND support their new clubmates

Value of Tournaments

At Epic Fencing, we believe in the value of competition for the lessons it teaches:

  • The importance of taking care of your body and mind

  • The value of discipline and self-regulation

  • The correlation between hard work and tangible improvements

Tournament Progression

  • Start with in-house tournaments (Ex. Donut Tourrnaments)

  • Progress to provincial tournaments (Ex.  Fence-O-Mania, Epic Fall Classic, Leslie Palmai, Gladiators Cup, AB Cups, Ares Open)

  • Move to out-of-province tournaments such as Sask or BC provincials, Canada Cups, and USA tournaments (Regional Youth Circuits – RYC, Regional Junior Cadet Circuit – RJCC, or Regional Open Circuits – ROC)

  • Increase difficult of USA tournaments; Super Youth Circuit – SYC, Super Youth Circuit – SYC, or North American Cup – NAC

  • ​Compete internationally at European Cadet Circuits and Junior, Satellite, or Senior World Cups.
